My problem about the writing was that so much of it was not very elegant, didnt feel so clever like the rest of the series. There were occasions when in one of the chapters the game would build up to you figuring out something important, and then right at the beginning of the next chapter it would be like 'oops, that's not exactly as we thought, let's ignore the whole progression from last chapter and start over'. It felt so cheap, and I remember it happening at least twice.

Also the revelation in the last caseI going to guess that what you're talking about is in cases 2 and 3 where Apollo and Athena come up with a working theory in court that instantly gets proven wrong when they start investigating. That didn't bother me personally, but I get why that could be annoying to some. I don't remember anything like that in AA6, at least. Cases 2 and 3 (especially 3) are where I think AA5's flaws are the most obvious. The thing that stands out the most is how needlessly convoluted some of the culprit's plans were. But I think the game really nailed the humor, had a lot of fun characters, and did a great job developing the new and old ones, particularly Apollo.
