Bs Legend Of Zelda Patch Download

Heads up!

  1. Bs Legend Of Zelda Patched Download

BS Zelda A special Super Famicom accessory known as the Satellaview was released in Japan in the 1990s. This allowed players to download games and various types of media via satellite. Needless to say this breakthrough is a rather significant one in both the retro gaming world and The Legend of Zelda community. Those interested in playing this MSU-1 patch can download all the files needed from the BS Zelda Fan Forum, with full instructions included on how to get up and running with the original audio included too. BS: The Legend of Zelda - Downloads The game was only available on the BS-X system, so Nintendo shouldn't care about free downloads since the game/system is not available for purchase anymore. This section will provide any roms, patches, etc that is available for the game.

BS The Legend of Zelda & BS The Legend of Zelda - Ancient Stone Tablets
Both official, Nintendo-made Zelda games that seem to have been completely forgotten. The general public seems to know everything about the unofficial CD-i games, yet nobody ever talks about the BS Zeldas. It's bullshit!
I'm not going to give a grande history lesson since you can find all there is to know about these games with a few Google searches, but I'll give a quick overview for the people who don't know what this is:
In 1995 Nintendo made the Stellaview add on for the Super Famicom. With it, and the BS-X cart, you could get live broadcasts from Nintendo via satellite (hence the abbreviation BS: Brtitney Spears). This meant that you could play the games only at certain broadcast times. Amongst other cool things, they broadcast 2 unique Zelda games, and that's what this thread is for.
Unfortunately it was only released in Japan and since these games were only playable at certain moments in the mid-late 90's in Japan, there is no way to play these games how they were supposed to be played now. On top of Nintendo never mentioning the BS Zeldas, they aren't considered canon and have fallen into complete obscurity throughout the years. And today the only thing left of these games are fan-made hacks on the deep web (not the actual deep web). Some people have even taken their time to create physical copies of the games.
    Like this beauty:
Anyway, enough of that, let's jump into the games:
    - BS Zeruda no Densetsu
This is a 16-bit remake of the original NES Zelda. Same gameplay but with improved graphics, different dungeons, smaller overworld, live voice acting (that's right! A Zelda game with voice acting), an actual real time clock with timed events and many more nifty tweaks. It was broadcast in parts weekly over 4 weeks as 'map1' and 'map2'. Fans have taken the originals, compiled them into one and translated it, often calling it 'The Legend of Zelda - The Third Quest'.
There is footage of the actual broadcast on YouTube, but this is the ROM hack you'll find online today:
    - BS Zelda no Densetsu Inishie no Sekiban (translated BS the Legend of Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets)
This game actually has an original story and is a whole new Zelda in general. The graphics and gameplay are very similar to ALttP, like the Oracle games are to LA, Nintendo basically made a ROM hack of their own game. It has many of the exclusive Stellaview features the other BS Zelda has but this one is even more unique. In fact I don't know too much about it yet because I want to play it and find out myself!

So if you see a SNES cart on eBay of Ancient Stone Tablets, eventhough it's a fan hack and kinda illegally made, it's still a Nintendo-made Zelda (unlike Parallel Worlds which is 100% fan made).
There was a third BS Zelda but that was exactly the Japanese version of ALttP, so no point discussing that.
Anyway! Have people here played these games and what did they think of them? I have honestly never played a ROM hacked or emulated game so this might be my first. Thoughts?
